Types of Myomectomy Surgery
Types of Myomectomy Surgery - A fibroid removal surgery is an operation to take fibroids out of your womb which is done by Dr Meenakshi Goyal at Akarsh Clinic Hisar. The surgery to remove fibroids can often be done through one or more small incisions using laparoscopy or through the vagina (hysteroscopy). Sometimes, a larger abdominal incision is needed. Myomectomy preserves the uterus, and makes pregnancy possible for some women. Your gynaecologist or surgeon can take out your fibroids in three different ways.
Abdominal myomectomy is the procedure in which your surgeon removes the fibroids through an open surgical cut in your lower belly.
Laparoscopic myomectomy allows the surgeon to remove the fibroids through several small incisions. It is less invasive and recovery is faster than with abdominal myomectomy.
Hysteroscopic myomectomy requires the surgeon to use a special scope to remove the fibroids through the vagina and cervix.
